Sunday, July 06 2008 - blender-3d - 0 comments
I thought it was about time that I posted another Tutorial, this time taking the artistic side I have decided to put together a simple tutorial on Texturing a Box. I plan on going through the process of Drawing a simple box, Adding the UV Map and Breaking it up, then extracting the UVMap and using Photoshop to create a texture for it. Drawing the Model The first step is to open up blender and clear out the default model, we could just use what is there but I thought I would start with nothing... So open Blender and press 'x' to remove all objects from the scene, this should leave you with a blank...
Sound, Music and Effects for your XNA Applications
Friday, May 23 2008 - 3 comments
With the introduction of XNA there is going to be a large requirement for new sound resources that we can all use. These could be in the way of Sound Libraries that are used for Non-Commercial or Commercial use. What I am planning on doing here is collecting a list of resources that we can all use in our projects. But please note you need to make sure that the sounds and systems you are using are actually able to be used in your projects, in some cases you may have to track down the authors of the resource to see if you can. Complete Sound Collections The following section has large collections...

In this short article I will go through the process of installing the Blender 3D Application. The first stage is to make sure that you have the latest version of the Blender 3D Application, you can et this from the Blender site at www.blender.org . Now that the dust is starting to settle around the release of the XNA 3.0 CTP, I thought it was time that some tutorials start to flow out. So I thought I would start from the beginning, In this Article I will assume that you have already downloaded Visual Studio 2008 Express or one of the other SKU's and installed the CTP. The first thing that you need to do is fire up the Visual Studio Interface and start a new project. From there you will have a choice of starting a Windows Game or a Zune Game (There are lots of other choices for you but the two main ones are the Windows and Zune Games), for...
